Roxane Litchia - Technical Artist
During the past year my work has taken a personal direction, as I have delved into topics that inspire me. My latest piece is based on discoveries surrounding black South African cultures, and their relationship with their ancestors in the supernatural world. The more I learn through my searches, the more there seems to be to react to, and I find this enthusiasm drives my work forward. I have no difficult creating work for a purpose, or carrying out another persons idea; but when it comes to my own artwork I feel that there needs to be a passion for the idea in order for the work to have strength as a piece of art. I plan to continue with my research and personal work, and hope to build up a body of sculptural pieces to exhibit in the near future.

Specific Skills: Sculpting and Modelling, (Various clays, waxes and stone) Moulding and Casting (plaster, fibreglass, silicon, ciment fondu, expanding foams, rubbers, resin etc), Fabrication (creature costumes, puppets) Basic woodwork, metalwork and sewing skills (incl. industrial machines)
