Meriel Guillemin Edwards - Sculptor
Life is what inspires me to be creative. I have always been motivated by human behaviour, and my work tends to echo an element of real life and has quite a literal feel to it and the pieces are often dynamic. I love to represent a lot of emotion and feeling in my work because I like people to react to my piece and remember it, which is why my work often has a lot of energy.
I am mostly a sculptor, but I can do a variety of things and most of the time I’m good at what I do because I’m a hundred percent perfectionist I love a challenge and I want to try most things at least once.
I am imaginative, varied and always want to learn more, in everyway. I am determined, therefore I can do most things if I put my mind to it. I’m keen to stretch my self as far as I can stretch because if I’m not doing something challenging I get restless.
