Steven James Granger - Designer for Stage and Screen
I have always been interested in architecture and spatial design and with doing Theatre Design at A level it made me more aware and want to forward my studies at Wimbledon. Learning core skills through speculative projects such as the adaptation of novels and stories; with the use of conceptual art, storyboarding and model-making it has help me not only demonstrate to potential directors and producers, but develop my own personal understanding of my work. With the introduction of computer software such as Photoshop, Sketch-up, Cinema 4D and CAD, that I like to develop and create my own personal style and flair.

The sequence of images is a small collection of my studio work; ‘District 21′ by Indrapramit Das is a short descriptive story, which I have adapted for a feature film creating the fantasy world through conceptual art, character studies, storyboarding and model-making. Film stills from ‘Open Heart Surgery’ is a short film, which I worked on as an art director for MA students from Goldsmiths University of London. The design for television model was for a speculative brief for London studios, designing for a chat show including an interview and performance area.

Specific Skills: Conceptual Art, Storyboarding, Model-making, Technical Drawing, Photoshop and Art Direction.
