Jake Hall - Production Designer
A passion for British cinema drives my aspirations to become a Production Designer for feature films, and throughout my degree I have concentrated on developing my design skills as well as my ability to realise a vision. My specific skills range from illustration and concept design, to model making, technical drawing, computer-aided design and storyboarding. In my time at Wimbledon I have been lucky enough to gain industry experience on numerous productions. I began initially working as part of the art department on music videos and promos - including shoots for The Darkness, Will Young and MTV. I was subsequently given the opportunity to work as Design Assistant on a number of Television shows for ITV and the BBC. One of these includes a four month summer project on The Mighty Boosh for BBC3, on which I played a large part in the filming and preparatory process. Prior to the shoot I was given the responsibility of building several white card set models for the production designer and designing props for various scenes. Following my graduation I aim to set up my own production company and pursue my career as a Production Designer.
