Stevie Mctear - Costumier
I am a creative and dedicated Costumier with a passion for historical costume. I hold skills in pattern cutting, corsetry, millinery, tailoring, and particularly enjoy the process of printing and dyeing to create and improve fabrics. I am passionate about all aspects of my work, but take pride reproducing historical hand sewn garments. I take pleasure in researching into historically accurate construction and sewing methods, and apply these techniques to my own interpretations. I am interested in making costume for both film and theatre, and I recently worked on the BBC drama Casualty 1907, in which I was involved in pre-production and filming, making costumes as well as dressing and continuity. I also undertake and welcome personal commissions for costumes, corsetry, evening and day wear.
Specific Skills: Historical reproductions.
