Rachael Pashley - Costumier
I love the creative environment that theatre provides, and through creating costumes, I can become a part of the story telling of a production. Within a professional environment I am able to and enjoy building relationships with an entire team.
I have always had aspirations to be a tailor, the clean lines and precision which make up the art of tailoring have long-since fascinated me. The tailoring experience I have gained throughout my degree has given me a solid grounding on which I will be able to learn much more in this well-established art form.
Work experience includes Royal Opera House (Into the Woods), experience with costumiers Paul and Christine Manning, and work on the English National Opera’s production of “The Merry Widow”. For the past seven years I have worked consistently on different children’s theatre projects, constructing costumes, designing and buying whilst also handling the budget.
