During my time at Wimbledon I gained extensive relevant skills and experience that have prepared me for a career as a costumier. I am skilled in pattern cutting, construction and tailoring in both menswear and womenswear. I have a particular aptitude for millinery, dancewear, surface decoration, wirework, flower making, dying, printing, distressing (breaking down), corsetry, lingerie and glove making. I am a hard worker, and love learning new skills. I am willing, enthusiastic and enjoy working within a team e.g. I was a member of the committee which organised our final degree show.

My interests principally lie in film and TV. I was employed as a Costume Assistant on Channel 4’s period drama City of Vice and on BBC1’s period drama Casualty 1907; and was a celebrity dresser on Endemol UK ITV1’s Britain sings Christmas. I have also gained work experience at Angel’s the costumier. I have made costumes for the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and on my course for the London Children’s Ballet. I worked as a design junior at Agent Provocateur for a year and assistant to Andi Walker, a small fashion designer in Leeds, I have also worked as assistant stylist on a fashion shoot for the Southwark weekender. My showgirl costume was featured on the front cover of Blue Pages (Vol 2 08), the Newsletter of the Society of British Theatre Designers and in Wimbledon’s Time & Leisure magazine (issue 92 March 08); my lingerie featured in The Southwark Weekender (issue 91 February 06).
