Hannah Marshall - Costume Designer
For me, costume design brings together many of my interests. I love being in a performance environment, have a fascination with the history of dress but also enjoy drawing inspiration from contemporary issues. I see costume as an extension of the character and should help inform the performer in their performance. I also enjoy working with textiles and often use ideas of texture, colour and fabric as a starting point in my design decisions. I am looking to pursue a career in costume for the screen but would also like to explore the world of theatre design further and I am also very interested in teaching children through the art of the theatre .

Specific Skills: Dyeing, screen printing, ageing and distressing, millinery, cutting on the stand.
