Amy Davies - Costume Designer for Film and Theatre
Being able to bring life to a character and tell a story through costume is something i am very passionate about. I enjoy creating new concepts such as placing a historical play into a modern context, creating a new world for each character. I also very much enjoy designing for dance, music inspires me and inables me to create an image in my head through sound and movement.

I like doing lots of background research so that i have maximum knowledge of the project i am working on and clear understanding.

Over the last 3 years I feel my skills as a costume designer have risen to a higher standard, i have worked on historical and contempory plays and created designs for dance, I like my mind to be stimulated so am always looking for new projects to expand my creativity and  produce works of art.

Specific Skills: Corsetry, Millinery, Cutting on stand, Dyeing and printing, Ageing and distressing, Historical and contemporary background research, Character and script analysis, Character realization, Wig making.
